Heritage and culture should be available to all. To make our school visits even more accessible, we are offering free visits and learning sessions to schools across the UK where 30% or more of pupils receive free school meals.
To be eligible for the fund, schools must be a state funded primary, secondary, or special school or unit. Schools must demonstrate that they are a state funded primary, secondary, or special school and have 30% or more of children in receipt of free school meals (FSM). The fund covers the cost for general admission as well as a facilitated teaching session.
Proof is not required of 30% threshold on booking but spot checks will take place and invoices will be issued if the eligibility criteria is not met.

Getting Here
We are located in central Bath next to Pulteney Bridge.
We are 5 minutes walk from the railway station and 10 minute walk from the bus station.
Nearest coach point is on Grand Parade, overlooking Pulteney Weir.
School groups will be met at the main gallery entrance by their workshop leader.
On Arrival
Coats and bags can be stored in the art room where you will have your creative workshop. If you’ve booked one of our sessions, a Workshop Leader will meet you.
You are welcome to take photographs, but please do not use flash in the museum.
We’d love you to share pictures of your school trip with us on social media, make sure to tag and follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Adult Helpers
Please bring at least:
oneadult for every six Early Years, KS1, and KS2 pupils Or
one adult for every fifteen Secondarypupils.
Pupils should be supervised at all times throughout your visit including visits to the toilet.
Eating at The Gallery
The only space in the Gallery where groups can eat and drink is in the art room on the first floor. There is space for one group of up to 35 children and adults at a time.
Free use of this room is included during your visit when you have booked a school session, subject to availability.
